Police Chief Disabled Camera to Frame Whistleblower
Updated: 6 days ago
The Maryland State Prosecutor's Office has launched a criminal investigation for bribery and theft involving District Heights Police Chief Ronald Tarpley and his longtime friends John E. O'Connor and Matthew Davis. Tarpley fired the deputy chief who uncovered evidence of their criminal misconduct totaling more than $100,000. Sources say Tarpley threatened to plant evidence and kill the deputy chief if he exposed the situation.
DBlastMedia has obtained video showing Tarpley touching evidence‑room doors and tearing down a surveillance camera just hours after the unlawful termination and threats. City of District Heights Mayor Cynthia Miller and Commissioner Xander Harcourt are suspected of helping the chief conceal his wrongdoing.
